Based on the chronology, the film Insidious: Chapter 3 takes place earlier. Insidious: Chapter 3 focuses on a character named Quinn Brenner (Stefanie Scott), a teenager who tries to contact his dead mother through a medium.
However, when Quinn tries to make contact with his mother’s ghost, he accidentally summons an evil spirit that haunts his house. Quinn experiences a series of horrific events and supernatural occurrences that only get worse. As a result, he decided to seek help from Elise Rainier (Lin Shaye), a psychic.
Elise agrees to help Quinn and enters the spiritual realm to fight the evil spirit that threatens her. On this journey, Elise faces her own dark past and the evil forces that are trying to destroy her. Meanwhile, Quinn’s family is also struggling to protect her from the attacks of an increasingly powerful evil spirit.
