Barbie film banned in Vietnam, there is a scene of controversy related to the South China Sea


United States of America – A Barbie Live Action film starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling is coming soon. However, the Barbie film has recently been met with controversy.

Launching from the BBC, Vietnam has banned the showing of the Barbie film because there is a scene that displays a map depicting China’s contested territorial claims in the South China Sea.

Vietnam is one of the countries contesting China’s claims to almost the entire South China Sea.

Adean at issue is when there is a map with nine dotted lines representing China’s territorial claims in the South China Sea. This made Vietnam regard as a violation of sovereignty.
