Reporting from the official We The Fest account, it was announced that The 1975 was canceling its appearance at the music festival. The British band regretted not being able to entertain the audience in Jakarta.
“The 1975 regretfully announces that their upcoming shows in Jakarta and Taipei will not go ahead as planned. The band has never taken the decision to cancel shows lightly and was looking forward to playing for fans in Jakarta and Taipei but unfortunately, due to current circumstances, it is not possible to continue with scheduled shows,” wrote the official We The Fest account, reported by Intipseleb on Sunday, July 23, 2023.
